Hi my partner is not receiving any maintenance for her son if she does it’s very very rare when she does it’s dribs and drabs...her son sees his dad but he just don’t pay and CMS reckons as he don’t have a PAYE number there is nothing they can do...he ain’t getting benefits and he is working cash in hand what can she do please?

Hi, I understand that this is a difficult situation. However, as this is a legal question and we're not legally trained, we cannot give advice. If CMS have said that there isn't much they can, then we're inclined to agree with them as they're the experts in these situations. You could try the Child Law Advice website, they have an extensive archive of information on the law surrounding children.
