What time should a 15 year old girl be allowed out until and how many days a week? Teenagers and young adults

My just turned 15 year old daughter is wanting to go out more and more with her friends, she thinks I'm too strict and over protective as all her other friends are allowed out more and for longer. I always ask where she is going and who she will be with which annoys her and says is over the top. I thinks it's natural to ask these things as opposed to just letting her go out and not knowing who she I'd with or where she is. I'm just after other opinions really as I find it strange her friends parents are so relaxed about it all. I hate her being out in the dark and walking home on her own but she just sees it as me trying to stop her "living her life". Any opinions and advise gratefully welcomed. I love my daughter so much and just want the best for her and trying to get a healthy balance between social life, family life and school homework & revision is proving difficult. I understand at 15 friends become the most important thing in a teenagers life but I also think there are other things that matter.

Hi, I understand that this is a difficult situation. Of course she's going to think you're unreasonable, because she wants to stay out with her friends and have independence. You only have your daughter's word that her friend's parents don't ask these questions, she may just being saying to try to get you off her back. Do you know people with children of a similar age, ask them about the issue. If this continues to be a sore spot, then perhaps a compromise would be helpful. Knowing where she's going and who she's going with is just common sense, I wouldn't feel too bad about asking those questions. My daughter is nearly 15 and I agree that she needs to let me know where she is going and who with. She also says that I am too controlling and is not letting her be a normal teenager and is the only one that all these unreasonable rules!
Our “rules” are 7pm in a school night and 9pm on the weekend if she is getting herself home, for “special occasions” I will let her stay out longer but will pick her up.
